To say that local woman Carol Manning was very disappointed with the Maldives would be an understatement.
Manning, 62 of Bristol had saved for years only to be immediately disappointed by the bland greyness of what she thought was going to be the beautiful crystal blue waters of the world’s most famous atoll.

“I couldn’t believe it” Manning recounted as she told the same story of discontent for the thirteen time since returning.
“As soon as I landed, I knew all the brochures and pictures I’d seen my whole life had been a total scam, there wasn’t a drop of blue anything anywhere. I just can’t believe they can get away with this.”
Following her rant regarding the Maldives, Carol also went on to complain that the new Smurfs movie, where their skin tones appeared to be black, was “political correctness gone mad”.
