A patient today has called in to Dr Gary Gerber’s popular live talk radio show to ask for his PD.
Dr Gerber’s show is an institution in optometry, and for some reason local man Simon Marshall thought it would be the easiest way to just grab a quick PD value so that he could complete the checkout process for a pair of glasses that will in no way suit him.

Dr Gerber very politely informed the man that he would ask his staff to email the PD value in the morning, and quickly threw to the next call, which turned out to be a muffled robo-call from 1800-Contacts looking for a prescription verification for a patient Dr Gerber had never seen.
