A local man today complained about the cost of glasses to his optometrist, who had recently paid $200 plus tax for the only light bulb which would fit his ophthalmoscope.
“Sure ha ha yes, I’m really raking it in. “ said the optometrist shortly before remembering he hadn’t yet registered and paid $1000 to attend a conference in his spare time as a requirement of his registration.
In the end the patient elected to simply request a copy of his prescription to “save a few bucks” and order his glasses from an online vendor located in another country where people get paid $1 a day.
