Pope Says Fitting Soft Contact Lenses Counts As Charity

The Pope today reassured the optometry profession that fitting contact lenses totally counts as charity.

“There is no way you are making any money from this. So it’s completely reasonable that it should count as charity. To say anything otherwise would be an abomination.”

Scholars have also suggested that other optometry tasks should also qualify, namely verting problematic glasses people have bought online, changing nosepads for nothing, and giving free lectures at conferences which organizers charge delegates and sponsors to attend.
