The United Nations today moved to ban radial keratotomy. This has nothing to do with its inventor being Russian, it’s simply because it’s a stupid procedure that is the perfect example of the worst of ophthalmology.
UN secretary for Medical Negligence, Mr Max Ectasia said “if this upsets you, you should put down the scalpel and retire”.
