San Francisco Optometrist Places Balaclava On Exam Chair To Help Patients Feel More At Home

Local optometrist, Dr Dwayne Sketer has today decided to place a balaclava over the headrest of his Topcon IS290 exam chair to help patients feel more at home.

“Some patients can be a bit nervous about the eye test. And just like umbrellas and sunglasses, patients leave heaps of balaclavas in our waiting room so we thought why not put them to good use and help make patients feel at home? The balaclava chair feels just like being in the warm embrace of one of the many rascals terrorizing our streets.”

For extra nervous patients, Dr Sketer also shows his care by offering to hold a knife to their throat during the refraction.
