[Satire] The FDA today granted Hubble contact lenses the rating of N95 for superior oxygen blockage.
The low breathability lenses, which feature decades old polymer technology, can be self prescribed by anyone without the need for assessment by an actual eye doctor.
“Not since PMMA has a lens we’ve tested achieved such excellent oxygen inhibition. It really is amazing. It is very unlikely that any pathogen could penetrate what is almost a completely non-porous substance. ” FDA director Kim Niosh.
