In a misplaced quest for self confidence today, a local woman who frankly has ample inner beauty if only she would look within, consulted her local optometrist for colored contact lenses.
The optometrist in question was unable to do anything other than be a passenger to the process as the patient asked to try different shades of fake iris colors, none of which have any prospect of looking remotely good.
“She just doesn’t get it. Beauty is within. No fake ocean blue printed iris sitting convexly on her cornea will ever achieve what society says is beauty. It’s a sad tale, but all I could do was go along with it and recommend a year’s supply and 12 boxes of multipurpose solution”.
