Patient With Really Sore Eye Is Only Available To See You After His Pilates Class at 4pm

Mr Woods says he might be a bit late but will probably be there

Manchester – England. In a case straight from a practice triage instructional video, the staff at Visions Etc Manchester immediately went into emergency red eye triage mode (ERETM) following a distressed phone call from patient Kai Woods who has a really sore eye.

Stephanie Kims immediately notified the optometrist of the issue, who agreed to “definitely squeeze him in”.

Ms Kims proceeded to exercise the practice’s Squeeze In Protocol (SIP), opening all areas of the appointment book, including the optometrist’s lunch break to be available to ensure that Mr Woods’ eye could be promptly assessed and treated to avoid unnecessary pain or vision loss.

Ms Kims quickly called the patient back to advise that they would indeed be happy to throw turmoil into their own workload management for the day, to look after him. Mr Woods responded by accepting this offer, and said he will probably think about dropping by after his pilates class which starts at the other end of town at 4pm.
