Contact Lens Comfort Issues Rise As Optometrists Go Through Cubism Phase

Patients can't wait until the phase is over

Following on from a successful impressionism era, patients have begun reporting unprecedented contact lens discomfort issues as optometrists go through their cubism phase.

Cubism is most notably an art form popularised in the early 20th century by French artists including Pablo Picasso. Historians have long known that contact lens practitioners have experienced similar phases.

It appears that the phase may have commenced at around the same time as a French themed “Swinging 20’s” zoom party during the 2021 Global Specialty Lens Symposium.

Dr Stephanie Woo of Contact Lens Institute of Nevada recently posted a cubic scleral lens case on Instagram which received 60,000 likes (@drstephaniewoo). Optometrists agreed that it captured the essence of the metaphorical struggle between the human physical form and the spiritual form.

Inspired by recent cases, a newly graduated optometrist posted what he thought was a well fitted lens, but colleagues agreed that it was so bad it could only be described as surrealist.
